| Weslynn's August 2005 Newsletter August opens with planes crashing, heat waves, transportation and traffic snarls. This sounds like the effects of Mercury in its retrograde position. Good news! On August 16th, Mercury will be going direct. Communication and transportation problems will begin to clear; weather patterns will change. On Friday, August 5th, astronomers announced the discovery of a trans-neptune object referred to as 2003-UB313. Commonly known as Xena, after TV's Warrior Princess, it is currently transiting Aries and will remain there for many years. Is it a planet or an astroid? Both the astronomical community and astrologers have been thrown into a quandry. Either way, it will be fascinating to study this object and its impact. If you love sci-fi/fantasy and live near Phoenix, you will want to attend Copper Concon'. Held at the Embassy Suites, 2577 Greenway Road September 9th-11th, there will be an art show and Auction, Gaming, LAN party, Charity Auction, Masquarade, a Dealers's Room, a Con Suite, Anime and more. I will be there autographing my sci-fi/fantasy novel, "Prophecies of the Ancients." A novel of romance, high adventure and fantasy, you will want to read about it. Please click on my Excerpts link. Whether you purchase a copy or not, if you're at Copper Con, please stop by my table and say hello. Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's July 2005 Newsletter It was a pleasure participating in the Second Annual Author's Conference in Roswell, New Mexico. Held at the Civic Center in conjunction with the annual UFO festival, author conference participants included Gloria Hawker, Dr. Robert Ferrell, Karen Williams, Shelly Kaehr, Leah Haley, Marilyn Lathrop, Edward Fulco, John P. Cater, Ken Hudnall, Stan Friedman and myself. The lecturers and workshops, especially those given by Stan Friedman, Derrel Sims, Dr. Robert Ferrell, Leah Haley and Shelly Kaehr, were not to be missed. I would like to extend my appreciation to Sandy James of the UFO museum for her wonderful organizational abilities and to Jerry Pippin of the Jerry Pippin Show for one of the best live radio interviews I've experienced.
I hope all of you had a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July. Remember, on 20th, Mercury goes into its retrograde position where it will stay until August 16th. As always, during the time Mercury is in this position, you may expect poor communications, traffic snarls and transportation problems. If you need to sign contracts, read them twice and make certain everything is in order. Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's June 2005 Newsletter It's nearly June 1st and it's quite chilly in the mountains of Northern New Mexico unlike the coast of west central Florida where I spend most of my time. In Taos, New Mexico, the snow is melting; the rivers are raging, threatening to overflow their banks. Nevertheless, the little mountain town is packed with visitors this Memorial Day. If you haven't visited Taos, go to: http://taoswebb.com. Move your mouse over the photo of pines and falling snow to view areas of northern New Mexico. This is a beautiful little town packed with art galleries, restaurants and bed and breakfast inns. Summertime brings film and music festivals, river rafting, hiking and Native American Pow Wows. The scenery is beautiful, offering great opportunities for photography. Away from the hustle and bustle, it is quiet and still, a haven for artists and writers. July 1-4 is the annual UFO Festival in Roswell, New Mexico. This promises to be a most unusual event featuring fascinating speakers, concerts and authors. If you plan to go, I will be there autographing my sci-fi fantasy novel, "Prophecies of the Ancients" and my time travel-romance novel, "Wyatt's Deck." Stop by and say hello even if you don't purchase a book. If you would like to know more about this event, go to http://alienresistance.org/roswellufofestival.htm Happy Birthday, Gemini. | Weslynn's May 2005 Newsletter May Day, an ancient spring festival, is often celebrated in anticipation of the coming of summer though pagans began centuries ago celebrating the festival as Beltaine. Flowers were placed near windows and doorways to keep out troublesome Fairies. Others gathered flowers, placing them in baskets to give to loved ones. Many of us, especially as children, have danced around the Maypole while weaving colorful pastel ribbons around it. This tradition was originally started hundreds of years ago by pagans while celebrating Beltaine. This beautiful month also brings us spectacular views from the heavens. From May 9th Venus, Jupiter and Saturn may be seen in the evening sky. On May 27th, Mercury and Mars may be seen in the Morning sky. Don't miss the Eta Aquarids meteor showers May 4-5. There will be 20 meteors per hour. Next Sunday, May 8th is Mother's Day. In honor of her, I would like to include my award winning poem, "The Remembrance".
The Remembrance may be found on page 61 of my free-verse poetry book, "Shifting Sands." If you would like to order an autographed copy or copies of my novels or books, you may do so by e-mailing me at weslynn3@netzero.com. Please place the title of the book in the Reference line. You may also order the books from my publishers or on-line at amazon.com. Except for "Wyatt's Deck," they will not be autographed if you order from either the publishers or through on-line bookstores. Jada Press is just in the process of setting up a new on-line bookstore. The new link will be in next months newsletter. I haven't forgotten you, Taurus! How could I? I was born under the sign of Taurus too. Happy Birthday to all of you. Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's April 2005 Newsletter Spring has arrived in the beautiful semi-tropical land where I live. The weather is warm, the breezes soft, the beaches inviting. But, imagine majestic snow capped mountains set against a canvas of deep indigo blue skies. A brilliant golden sun slides beyond a high plateau, its light casting a glow upon a forest of snow laden pines, pinons and oak trees. Transformed into a fairyland of shining gold and indigo blues, a magical land appears where it seems anything you wish for will be granted. Spring is often late in northern New Mexico where I have been this past week. Though I have been fortunate to have been gifted with warm visits from old friends and gorgeous mountain sunsets, my communications ceased, my computer froze. As a result, April's newsletter is a bit late. While in New Mexico and Arizona, I visited Tombstone, a thriving ghost town in Southern Arizona. The site of the infamous OK Corral shootout, its residents often gather at Big Nose Kate's Saloon, adorned in the attire of the early 1800's. If you visit Tombstone, you may view re-inactments, take a ride in a Wells Fargo stage coach, visit Boothill, historical sites and museums. You may also purchase clothing of the 1800's as well as magnificent antique rifles and six-shooters. Ladies, if you love period clothing as I do, there are several shops that carry wonderful clothing, men's and women's alike, of the late 1800's. As for myself, I I could not resist a gorgeous sage green saloon dress along with bloomers, a camisole and a pair of button up shoes. I look forward to donning the saloon dress one day soon for a book signing of my time-travel romance novel, "Wyatt's Deck," set in 1881 in Tombstone, Arizona. You may read reviews and excerpts of my novels including "Wyatt's Deck" on this site. If you would like to order an autographed copy of this or any of my other titles, please email me at weslynn3@netzero.com. In the reference section, please note the title of the book. New: Copies of "Wyatt's Deck", "Prophecies of the Ancients" and "Apache Springs" are now available at the St. Pete Beach, Fl. Library as well as the Lovington Library in Lovington, New Mexico. Happy Birthday, Aries.Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's March 2005 Newsletter March promises to be a wonderful month in Southwest Florida! Spring, with its cool temperatures, lack of humidity and gorgeous sunsets beckon one's imagination to take flight. Only a century or so ago, pirates roamed our seas. Treasures, yet undiscovered, remain still hidden in the depths of the seas. Once the hurricanes had passed last fall, many combed the coastlines of Florida's searching for pieces of eight and other valuables. Living so close to the fascinating area that was once Jose Gaspar's playground has compelled me to do further historical research on the pirates and Indians that once inhabited much of Florida and our barrier islands. Once my work in progress, 'Windmills of His Mind," and "Bart's Gold" has been completed, another novel of romance and adventure will begin to take form. For now, "The Stars and You" is nearly completed. Only a few final touches need to be added. I'm looking forward to it's release under my pseudonym, Wes Alistair, in 2005 or the spring of 2006. If you are planning to make a trip between March 20th and April 12th, please be aware that Mercury will be in its retrograde position then. You will notice more traffic snarls than usual. Communications of all sorts will go awry. If you have a contract to sign, if possible, wait until Mercury moves into its direct position on April 12th. Have a wonderful Easter and don't forget to wear your green on March 17th,
St. Patrick's Day. Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's February 2005 Newsletter Happy Valentine's Day! If you're thinking of sending a gift to a loved one, you may want to wire flowers. Following is a list of recommended flowers for each astrological sign: In regard to booksignings posted, please note that the Boomtown Theatre signing in Jacksonville Feb. 5 has been postponed. I will let you know the new date soon. For now, I am planning some exciting events for "Prophecies of the Ancients" and "Wyatt's Deck." Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's January 2005 Newsletter Happy New Year! May this year bring all of you a year of peace and happiness. If you haven't made your New Year resolutions yet, you may want to think about making this a year of "Paying it Forward" or helping others. This year has arrived on the tail end of an unbelievable disaster. Keeping in mind, the victims and their families, you may want to donate to one of the Asian Tsunami relief funds. Following are a few of the many organizations you may contact: For Tsunami Relief:http://www.redcross.org/donate/donation-form.asp For Immediate Relief for the Emergency in SE Asia http://www.americas.org Ameri Cares Foundation For the Children Astrologically speaking, until Uranus, a planet signifying the unexpected, moves out of Pisces and into Aries on March 2011, we may expect more water disasters...flash floods, mud slides, tsunami's and hurricanes. When Mars is coupled with Uranus, you may expect violence and earthquakes. Jupiter, although it is considered a benefic planet, causes expansion, broadening or increasing the size of the storm or tidal surge. In the case of this recent disaster, all were present along with a full moon increasing tidal surges. A couple of notes in regard to "Prophecies of the Ancients"- You may now read an excerpt and review under my links on this site. I will be autographing this book in Jacksonville on Feb. 5th. Chapters Thirty through Thirty-Three may be especially interesting to all of you in light of our recent disasters. Jenna, Gaylen and Prince Karo return to Earth only to find themselves in the middle of disasters and Earth changes, many of which we are now experiencing. On January 20, the Sun will enter Aquarius, a sign many humanitarians have been born under. Below is a poem especially for you. Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's Newsletter for October 2004 While autographing my novels at the fantastic sci-fi convention, Silicon, in San Jose, California, Hurricane Frances wrecked havoc upon the peninsular state of Florida where I live. Following closely behind, was her evil sister, Jeanne, who did her best to destroy the east coast of Florida. Battering until there was little untouched by the hurricane, she left many homeless and in need of the assistance of volunteer workers, the United Way, Fema and the Red Cross. They are doing a tremendous job, but still, it will take some time to recover for Florida was also raked by Hurricanes Charley and Ivan. Florida is recovering and this beautiful state will soon be the paradise it is known for. For myself, I have emerged from the destruction with a plot for yet another romance novel. It will be set in Florida and will include a killer hurricane. For now, I am still working on a time-travel romance set in the California gold country in 1887. If you have read Wyatt's Deck, you will love this one too. If you haven't read Wyatt's Deck, you may order it from the publisher, Jada Press, Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, or from me. A glance at the stars reveals that there is an eclipse on the twenty-eighth of October at five degrees of Taurus. Please remember not to look at the sun during an eclipse without the proper glasses. Happy Birthday to beautiful Libra! Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's Newsletter for September 2004 While I am safe in shadow of Taos Mountain, Hurricane Frances rages in the Atlantic. This dangerous category four hurricane has now set her sights on the Bahamas and perhaps, the east coast of Florida. It is my hope that Frances will become a fickle lady, turn and head toward the northern waters of the Atlantic where coastal dwellers do not reside. Last weekend, I attended Bubonicon, a sci-fi convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I'd like to thank everyone who organized the convention and especially Kennard Wilson who was in charge of the Dealer's Room. It was a pleasure meeting new friends and readers as well as the mos Alba Fan Force (Star Wars) group. Their specetacular costumes made me want to see the movie all over again. Thanks so much for including me in your group photo! I hope to see you all at another sci-fi convention soon. In just a couple of days, I'll be leaving for Sili-Con in San Jose, Ca. where I'll be signing both "Prophecies of the Ancients," my sci-fi fantasy novel loaded with romance, and "Wyatt's Deck," a time-travel romance novel set in 1881 in Tombstone, Az. If you live in the area or are traveling to Sili-Con to attend, please drop by and see me. Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's Newsletter for August 2004 While my Florida home trembles to the roar of thunder, a low depression forms off the Cape Verde Islands of the coast of Africa. Alex has passed by while water spouts spin off of our beautiful sub-tropical coast. Tuesday, August 10th, Mercury moves into its apparent retrograde position at 8 degrees of Virgo until September when it moves direct at 25 degrees of Leo. During that time and until Mercury moves to the same degree it went into its retrograde position, you may expect transportation and communication snarls. Rather than begin a new project, it is best to wind old projects up. Don't be in a hurry, or upset when things don't go as expected. This is great time to practice patience and listen to others carefully so that there few misunderstandings. Last month, I attended the UFO Festival over July 4 in Roswell, New Mexico. For those of you who could not attend, you missed a great time, compete with vendors, music, concerts, fabulous authors and lecturers. Derrel Sims, Stan Friedman, Physicist, Edgar Mitchell, Astronaut were just a few of the well known speakers. I would like to thank all of you who visited my table and attended my talk. It was wonderful seeing all of you, meeting new friends and seeing old classmates. Later, this month, over the weekend of August 17th through August 29th, I will be attending and signing my novels at Bubonicon, a Sci-Fi Con to be held in Albuquerque, NM at the Wyndham Hotel …International airport location. From September 3-5, I will be in San Jose, California attending Sili-Con, a Sci-Fi con. Look for me on one of the Author's Panels at an author's table. I will be autographing my sci-fi novel, Prophecies of the Ancients and my time-travel romance novel, Wyatt's Deck. Please stop by even if you don't buy a book. Happy Birthday, Leo! | Weslynn's Newsletter for July 2004 Thanks to everyone at Crystal Dreams Publishing, especially TW Miller, Publisher, Mark Hauser, Phillip Beebe, and the editors I worked with who contributed in making my dream become a reality. You may not be aware of this, but "Prophecies of the Ancients" was inspired by a fantastic dream I once had on the eve of the spring equinox. In print, the book began as a poem, expanded into a short story and continued until it became a near epic novel. If you like sci-fi, a little more than a touch of romance and fantasy as well as gorgeous, exciting aliens, you'll love my dream book. Come and see me in Roswell, New Mexico over the Fourth of July holiday. I'll be at the UFO Festival at the Civic Center signing the very first copies of "Prophecies of the Ancients." Happy Birthday Cancer! My poem to you is Moon, Ruler of Cancer. Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's Newsletter for June 2004 I'm happy to announce that Wyatt's Deck been awarded Five Star Review at the Romance Studio.com! Louise Rivera-Mitchell says, "This is a wonderful book that not only gives us romance, but a chance to let our imaginations run with the story and even walk in Cally's shoes for a brief time. I love the whole aspect of the story and really feel its readers will enjoy and want to read over and over. Ms. McCallister has done a great job of not only bringing her story to life, but letting us see a brief look at the personal side of the man named Wyatt." To read Ms. Mitchell's review in its entirety, go to: The Romance Studio Reviews to read the entire review. Other good news: Watch for Prophecies of the Ancients, my sci-fi romance novel to be released by Crystal Dreams Publishing this month. Currently, the publisher is preselling advance copies. Click on the publisher's link on my site to read a preview. As far as the major stars for June go, cast your eyes to the skies, starwatchers. On June 8, for the first time since 1882, Venus will pass between the Earth and the Sun. Last, but not least...don't forget to wish your Dad a Happy Father's Day! Weslynn McCallister |

That's a lot of holidays for one month, not to mention my many Taurean and Gemini friends and readers who will be celebrating their own special days. Wonderful news! On April 6, Mercury will be going into its retrograde position and will not turn direct until April 30. During that time, expect snarls in traffic, delays while traveling and problems with communications. Be patient. It's a good time to relax and tie old matters up. If you have a contract or important papers you need to sign, its best if you can wait until after Mercury turns direct. If you sign papers during Mercury retrograde, expect corrections to be made after April 30. On April 19, a partial eclipse of the sun will occur beginning at 6:30 A.M. and ending at 10:39 A.M. A word of warning: Do not look directly at the sun during an eclipse unless you are wearing an approved filtration device…that does not mean a pair of sunglasses. Check with your optometrist to obtain the proper device. May 4, there will be a total eclipse of the Moon beginning at 2:52 P.M. and ending at 4:08 P.M. Happy Birthday, Aries! | Weslynn's Newsletter for March 2004 With the remembrance of knee deep snow and freezing winds, I am happy to be safely home in sunny Florida. Warm memories of a winter wonderland and a skier's delight remain. As pinon wood burned in a little corner fireplace and snow fell heavily outside, I completed my work in progress…The Zodiac and You. A complete astrology book, it is designed to be entertaining as well as informative, but it should not be considered as a means of fortune telling for God has granted us free will. Consider the astrology chart as you would a map. The main routes are clearly laid out, but a choice of many side roads exist. You may even choose to turn around. The Zodiac and You will be published under my pseudonym, Wes Alistair. Look for it in late 2005, or perhaps, even before. The big news is, April 1 is the release date by Jada Press for my time-travel romance novel, Wyatt's Deck. If you would like to pre-order an autographed copy of this novel, Apache Springs or Romancing The Zodiac, please fill out the order form on this site. For your convenience, Pay Pal will be added soon. We are in the sign of Pisces now until March 20th. Below is my poem, dedicated to everyone born under the sign of Pisces. Have a fun and safe St. Patricks Day! Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's Newsletter for February 2004 Snow is falling here in Northern New Mexico as it has been all through the frigid night. Between dusk and dawn, fourteen inches have fallen in Taos Ski Valley. Beauty surrounds me in this wonderful zone. There is not a single chill in the air as wood from a Pinon tree burns a little corner Kiva fireplace, adding a special warmth to my casita as I work on my new novel. As promised, you will find an excerpt of Wyatt's Deck, a time-travel romance novel set in 1881 in Tombstone, Arizona. To read it, go to excerpts and reviews on this site. The novel is scheduled to be released by Jada Press in early spring of this year. Next month, you will find a synopsis for Prophecies of the Ancients, a sci-fi romance novel to be released by Crystal Dreams Publishing. This year, for my astrological poems of the month, I will be writing poems about the rulers of the zodiac signs. This month, Uranus, God of Change, will be dedicated to all Aquarians. As many of you know, Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius, one of my favorite signs. It's not my Sun sign nor is it my rising sign, but many of my friends were born under this sign. Aquarians are known to be humanitarians and one of the best friends one can have. They are philosophical, intuitive, sociable, adaptable, unconventional, humane, interested in group activities, as well as the eccentric and unusual. A note of interest…Uranus has just entered the astrological sign of Pisces where it will remain until March of 2011. During this time, we may expect to see sweeping changes in religious and spiritual matters as well as institutions. Happy Birthday, Aquarius! Weslynn McCallister |

In the interim, I am busy working on my next novel. Happy Birthday, Capricorn! May Jupiter, in transit, ward off old Saturn's ills and bring all of your hopes and wishes for the year a reality. | Weslynn's Newsletter for December 2003 I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and didn't eat too much turkey. If you did, and believe you have put on pounds already, before the Christmas parties begin, there is a wonderful book that I would recommend reading. No, I didn't write it, but I wish I had. The title is, "Fit For Life II" by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond. It is not about dieting, but is all about food combinations. Since this is the season for sniffles, I would also like to recommend purchasing another book, one that is always in my home library, "The Edgar Cayce Remedies" by Dr.William A. McGarey. While we're speaking about purchasing good books, don't forget Christmas is coming soon! If you would like to avoid the crowds, consider purchasing my award winning romance novel, "Apache Springs" or "Romancing The Zodiac," a book of herbal remedies and astrological poems for each sign by Wes Alistair. You may read several chapters of "Apache Springs" at Booklocker.com before you decide to purchase. Both books are available at on-line bookstores and through their publishers. Autographed copies may be ordered from me through this site. On an astrological note, I would like to remind all of you that Mercury is going into its retrograde position on December 17 at 12 degrees of Capricorn. The planet will move direct on January 6, 2004. While it is in its apparent retrograde position, expect transportation and communication disruptions. Plan ahead of time, expect delays and detours. It is best to wind things up now. Begin new projects after Mercury moves direct. From January 6, to January 26, when Mercury returns to 12 degrees of Capricorn, you may find remaining, a few ripples of delay. Coming Soon ..."Prophecies of the Ancients", a sci-fi romance novel by Weslynn McCallister to be released by Crystal Dreams Publishing and "Shifting Sands", a free verse poetry book by Weslynn McCallister. This month, I would like to wish all Sagittarians a Happy Birthday. The sign begins November 21 and ends December 22. My tribute to Sagittarius is my free verse poem below. Weslynn McCallister |

| Weslynn's Newsletter for October Just flew in from Paradise Valley, Arizona, Taos, New Mexico, Albuquerque and Austin, Texas. What fun. Paradise Valley offered a wonderful opportunity to visit with family, do some last minute research for my book in progress, "Windmills of the Mind." I'm happy to say that the book is, for the most part, finished. Taos and its cool mountain air was a refreshing break from the warm semi-tropical climate of Florida in September, particularly with Isabel pondering her path before she began her insistent march toward the Carolinas and beyond. Halloween is on its way and The Romance Studio is holding a great
Spooktacular Trivia contest. Go to theromancestudio.com for information.
It's scary movie trivia and promises to be fun. Prizes are free romance novels from the authors of The Romance Studio. One of the books you may receive is my award winning novel, "Apache Springs". The contest is for authors too, but we receive a different type of prize. So, my friends, check it out. |

| Weslynn's Newsletter for September After returning from a brief respite from the sultry heat of Florida's summer, I find myself deeply entrenched in Tropical Storm Henri's rains. With no escape, I am left to write a few poems or perhaps, plot a novel set in a soggy land. Speaking of poetry, a few of my award winning poems are posted on my site on Author's Den. Just click on my link and read. Since my August newsletter, I have been one of the featured authors at The Romance Studio. A great site, it offers romance writers and fans a book a day giveaway, romance news, writing contests, information in regard to conferences, reviews, articles and workshops. Just go to http://www.theromancestudio.com. Another great new author's group that I am proud to be a member of is Author's for Charity. Check us out at http://www.authorsforcharity.com On an astrological note, much has changed. Jupiter has moved into the sign of Virgo for a year, offering the earth and water signs expansion as it aspects their suns. For now, until December, Mars is transiting Virgo, stirring up activities and tempers of the mutable signs of Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces and Gemini. Beware, of accidents, mutable signs. Since Mars is closer to earth now than it has been for centuries, its aspects will be stronger. To relieve stress…slow down, take a deep breath, meditate. For wonderful, organized Virgo, Happy Birthday! Wishing you a year of good luck and expansion. My poem to you follows. Weslynn McCallisterAuthor of Romance Novels and poetry written from the heart |

| August Newsletter From Weslynn News Flash! The second edition of my award winning romance, "Apache Springs" has just been released. Now available at Booklocker.com, weslynn.com and Barnes and Noble.com, the ISBN # is 1-59113-354-8, copyright 2003. 2004...Crystal Dreams Publishing will be releasing my sci-fi romance novel, "Prophecies Of The Ancients." Don't miss this one! It's Sci-fi with Adventure, Kings, Queens, Sorcerers, Oracles and Romance. Currently, my work in progress is titled, "Windmills Of The Mind." Complete with romance, murder and superstars, I hope to complete the first draft by September 1. On an astrological note, a glance at my Ephremis tells me that Mercury is moving into its retrograde position on August 29th. Beware of problems in communications and travel until after September 20th when the planet resumes a direct position. Even then, travel and communications will not be completely back to normal until October 4th when Mercury moves to 26 degrees of Virgo; the same degree the planet moved into retrograde position on August 29th. It is already August and the Sun is well into Leo. Wishing regal Leo a Happy
Birthday, my poem for you below. If you like astrological poetry and herbal remedies, read my book, "Romancing The Zodiac," written under my pseudonym, Wes Alistair. Available at this site, 1stbookslibrary.com, and most on-line book stores.

| July Newsletter From Weslynn The Summertime Stars
July opens with rockets blazing and Jupiter racing through Leo. For the fire and air signs of Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aries, you will have one last opportunity for expansion and perhaps, good fortune in the areas of romance and entertainment. Enjoy, because by September, Jupiter enters the sign of Virgo, creating emphasis upon health matters and introducing a more expansive year for the earth and water signs of Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, and Capricorn. Generally, the earth and water signs listed above that were born during the 7th through the 13th of the month, will notice this trend significantly from November 2003 through February of 2004. It's your time now to enjoy more prosperity and expansion. Astrology can be fun and entertaining, but even though good fortune may appear to shine on us, it is ultimately our thoughts, actions and good will toward others that create a life that is joyful and worthwhile. Wishing all of you a happy and safe Fourth of July, |

| June Newsletter From Weslynn Warm humid weather, tropical summer rains and the heating of ocean waters are but forerunners of hurricanes that may soon be upon us in this La Nina year. | May's Newsletter From Weslynn After returning from a wonderful trip to Charleston, Beaufort and Hilton Head, South Carolina, I'm finding much of my e-mail has been nabbed by cyberspace, my laptop is on the blink and mis-communications are more frequent than not. Since April 26th, that has been happening a lot. On that date, Mercury moved into its retrograde position and will remain so until May 20th. If you are an astrology buff, you will know that when Mercury, the ruler of communication and transportation, is retrograde, you may expect communications to be muddled, e-mail, computers, faxes, and telephones may go awry. Travel and communications will be slow. Be patient, complete ongoing projects, but delay initiating new ones until after May 20th when Mercury moves direct. During May 8th through May 20th, the planet Mars will be conjunct Neptune in Aquarius and opposite Jupiter in Leo. Watch for financial reversals in general, frauds, scams, further outbreaks of SARS, violent weather and fires. This month is full of celestial events…some spectacular. On Tuesday, May 6th, if you're up early and live in southern hemispheres, you may catch a glimpse of the annual Aquarid Meteor Shower. On May 7th, Mercury will pass between the Sun and Earth. Star gazers in Europe may see the small planet's silhouette move over our sun. Astrology is not for everyone, but if you find it fun and entertaining, read "Romancing The Zodiac," an astrological book of poetry and herbal remedies by Wes Alistair. Coming Soon: "Wyatt's Deck" by Weslynn McCallisterTake care, Weslynn |

| April 2003 Newsletter from Weslynn April, 2003 opens to a world in turmoil. Peace, love, beauty and and meditation are needed to calm ragged nerves. Many loved ones are in harm's way, bravely fighting for what we hold dear. We can only hope and pray that they may return safely to us and our world will once more be at peace. Last month, I promised a glimpse at my new time-travel romance novel, "Wyatt's Deck," soon to be released by Southern Charm Press. Set after the turn of the Millinium in S.W. Florida and moving on to Tombstone, Arizona in 1881, my novel opens on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida. Following, is an excerpt from Chapter 1: Drake moved stealthily toward the house as though his profession was that of an investigator, not a real estate broker. The front door was locked. Had Cally's car not been in the shop and had she come home alone, she might not have suspected anything was wrong. Cool as it was, perspiration beaded on Drake's forehead. Placing the key in the lock and turning it, Drake prepared for an ambush or an attack. Flipping on the lights, he entered. He looked around and saw that none of the electronics had been taken. Nothing had been disturbed. So far, it appeared whoever had trespassed had been looking for Cally. He went from room to room, finding Suzi huddled up in a corner of Cally's closet under a blanket. By the time he got to the kitchen, he found the back door ajar with a pool of water on the floor near the back door. A silver reflection caught his eye. Bending, he picked up a bullet. If he wasn't mistaken, it was a bullet used for an antique pistol…a Colt .45 Peacemaker used in the Old West in the 1800's. ****Watch for the release date in following newsletters. |

| March 2003 Newsletter from Weslynn Greetings! Spring is coming and it can't come soon enough for me. Even though I live on the southwest coast of Florida, it has been a chilly winter…coldest ever for Florida, they say. Thankfully though, we don't have freezing rain and snow. After a month of whirlwind trips through Florida, March finds me busy at work on "Windmills Of the Mind", a fiction novel based on a true story. It is set on the southeast coast of Florida. "Cannery Row Disappearances," a novel set in Central California, is at rest for now, awaiting my research visit to Monterey. On March 16th, I will be signing my award winning romance novel, "Apache Springs" at the Grand Opening of Borders Books and Music in Naples Florida. Along with me, signing their books, will be Florida Writers Association Authors, Dennis Havlin, Robert Fulton, Robert Mykle and Herve Peoples. From 4:00- 4:30, I will be discussing my novel. Please come out and help celebrate Borders Grand Opening. You will find the location and telephone number for the store listed above under Book signings. "Wyatt's Deck," my time-travel romance novel, to be released by Southern Charm Press, is coming soon. A synopsis has been posted this month. Next month, watch for an excerpt. Peace and Love, |

| February 2003 Newsletter from Weslynn At the break of dawn this morning, no one expected the tragedy that was about to befall. Just after 9:00 A.M., as the space shuttle, Columbia, was about to land, it exploded over Texas. Of the seven astronauts, there were no survivors. Debris from the lost ship and its crew was scattered over Arizona, New Mexico Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana. If you think you have seen debris from the shuttle, please do not touch it. It may be toxic. Call either 800-525-5555 or 281-483-3388 This year, February is the Jupiter Season. Go outside tonight and look to the glorious heavens and brightest stars, the stars our astronauts so loved. A spectacular view awaits you in the eastern evening sky…a view befitting Valentine's Day. Just after sunset, the brightest star you see will be the largest planet in our solar system. Jupiter is closer to Earth now than at any other time. If you have a small telescope, on a clear night, you will see Jupiter's cloudy belts and four of its moons. Remember your loved ones this month. And remember to extend a loving hand to all in need as well as to all who dwell on Planet Earth. Peace and Love, |

| January 2003 Newsletter from Weslynn Happy New Year, 2003! Wow! I can't believe it's already January of 2003. I hope all of you enjoyed the holidays and escaped without a single sniffle. I can't say I fared as well. Though I am rarely ill, I caught a dreaded virus that had invaded much of southwest Florida. But, as January 1st neared, it disappeared nearly as quickly as it arrived. Curious about what numerology had to say about the current year number, on New Years Day, I looked up the number five year in "Numerology, The Romance In Your Name," by Dr. Juno Jordan. It seems that, in general, the year promises to be filled with uncertainty, changing conditions and eventful occurrences. Whatever 2003 does bring, I hope your year is filled with happiness and success. My free verse poem for Aquarius, the first sign of this new year is "God-Child Of The Water Bearer." Last year, I focused on sun sign poetry; however, this year, I will be focusing on the rising sign which is the sign rising over the horizon at the time of birth in exact location the native was born in. It describes the appearance of the native, which is why astrologers cannot guess sun signs by appearances unless, of course, ones rising sign is the same as his or her sun sign. Wishing you a Wonderful New Year, |

| October 2002 Newsletter from Weslynn As summer fades into fall and temperatures begin to drop in
other parts of the country, I am slightly envious for in the
semi-tropics where I live, humidity is high, along with temperatures. Hurricanes
and tropical storms are raging through warm gulf waters, creating
havoc for coastal dwellers. "Disappearances Of Cannery Row," my work in progress, is now well on its way. While lightning strikes nearby and thunder rumbles, my characters, Lizzie James, Gregory Stone and Jack Donaldson have taken a life of their own. We are well into the sign of Libra. An artistic and sociable sign. |

Have a wonderful October and please remember to visit me at my book signing at the Florida Writer's Conference in Orlando this month. I will be signing my nostalgic romance novel, "Apache Springs." Warm regards, |
